Update August 21, 2020
The Froyoo identity Graph allows both global and local brands the ability to identify customers across multiple devices, and at a level of sophistication and resolution previously only possible in already saturated markets. Our deterministic identity graph will connect millions of individuals across hundreds of millions of devices in a manner that is both accurate and privacy-conscious. These tools allow marketers in blind-spot regions the ability to maximize effectiveness and drive results in markets with unparalleled potential. The Froyoo Identity graph provides an omnichannel view of the consumer. Our data is founded upon real-world touch-points, which are deterministically and anonymously tied with online identifiers to provide a people-based approach to the target audience, enabling our customers to create personalized, meaningful experiences for their consumers.
At Froyoo, data ethics, privacy and adherence to the strictest data regulations are of our greatest priority. Froyoo removes personally identifiable information (PII) and replaces it with pseudonymous record keys during our matching process. To protect customers, we have mechanisms to control data usage and require contractual obligations to maintain the anonymity of users. Froyoo is GDPR and CCPA compliant. Moreover, our universal opt-out ensures privacy with a single opt-out request. Our identity graph was designed to enforce privacy and keep customer data safe while providing datadriven use cases for comprehensive marketing campaigns across devices and channels.
Froyoo provides connectivity services designed to enable our customers to reach consumers through various digital channels with greater efficiency and more relevant messages, including online, mobile, email and other media sources.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The European Union has adopted a system for privacy and security, called the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"). It imposes a number of responsibilities on data controllers and data processors, and gives a number of essential privileges to data subjects. This document is intended to provide clarity as necessary under Articles 13 and 14 of the GDPR in respect of Froyoo operations ("Froyoo")
Froyoo operates under GDPR both as a "Data Controller" and as a "Data Processor." Froyoo acts as data controller in relation to personal personal data about its employees in the EU (i.e. , human resources data), personal data that it collects from its customers and prospective customers (i.e., its own customer relationship data), and personal data about EU citizens that it licenses from other persons (i.e., EU personal data Froyoo licenses to its clients).
Froyoo acts as a GDPR data processor in so far as it processes personal data on behalf of its customers about EU citizens. In this case our customers are considered controllers of the data. Froyoo manages the personal data as per contract and the data controller's written instructions.
This service privacy notice focuses on the personal data that Froyoo collects and processes that is used for services. Employees of Froyoo subsidiaries in the European Union should refer to their employee handbook for information regarding Froyoo’s privacy policies.
Froyoo complies with the guidelines of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Notification, choice, routing, security , data integrity, access, and enforcement principles. Read our Privacy Shield Policy for more information on how we collect, use and retain your personal information when you use our Services in the European Union or member countries.
Froyoo connectivity services
The Froyoo Connectivity Services include data onboarding, linking, and distribution to many of the players in the digital advertising industry to enable smarter targeting with more relevant messages and more accurate measurement. Onboarding is a service that loads data collected offline into the digital ecosystem, so it can be used for digital advertising purposes. The players include advertisers wishing to reach consumers, advertising supported websites, advertising supported apps, email marketing services, and other media.
Consumers interact through a variety of channels with advertisers and brands-offline, online and digitally. This cross-channel interaction is known as "omni channel." Froyoo services are used to facilitate these interactions in the digital advertising industry, including:
Marketing Platform Partners: Froyoo has established distribution partnerships with hundreds of media and technology providers in the ecosystem of online, app, email and addressable TV.
Through these alliances, Froyoo enables advertisers to view relevant ads via
websites , mobile phones, email, and other media sources to unique individuals.
Third Party Data Providers: Froyoo also offers services that enable third party data providers to embed their offline marketing data and synchronize their digital data so that advertisers can use it to display more relevant advertisements and email marketing to consumers.
Brands: Froyoo provides digital marketers with connectivity services which advertise to consumers: Brands can use their proprietary offline and digital data to target advertising messages on their own website and/or their own mobile apps, and in email for their own use. Brands can use their own proprietary data onboard along with onboard data from third parties to offer more relevant ads and email marketing through Froyoo partners. Brands can also link feedback details about their omnichannel advertising and email marketing campaigns to understand how potential strategies can be made more successful. Performance information includes information about who viewed the ad, who clicked on the ad and who actually responded to the offer in some way.
Cross Device Advertising and Connectivity Services
Froyoo partners with other players in the digital advertising sector to enable our Connectivity Services. These include partners for cookies, mobile and other media matches which enable Froyoo to recognize an individual across different channels. Furthermore, Froyoo sells Connectivity Services to other providers of third party advertising services to help facilitate their offerings.
Froyoo uses various methods to provide our Communication Services, tailored uniquely to each platform. The common basis for those services is an ID assigned to an individual by Froyoo.
Depending on the medium and use, the ID may be used in a personally recognizable state or in a manner which is not used to identify the user.
Froyoo collects certain types of information in connection with our Connectivity Services, including: personal data such as name, postal address, email address , telephone number, IP address , mobile device ID, form and version of the software and operating system, if approved by our partners and customers through policy notifications they issued to consumers. Froyoo processes and shares this data in the course of performing our services with our marketing platform partners however we do not retain or use this data for our own internal business purposes unless our customers permit.
Froyoo Cookie-based Connectivity Services
Connectivity Services for cookie-based integrations are based on a Froyoo ID and a Froyoo cookie that together identify a browser. The cookie that contains the ID is set when a consumer visits the website as a registered user of one of our cookie match partners, or when a consumer opens certain emails from a cookie match partner. Because matching partners know the consumer, they allow Froyoo to also recognize the consumer and set the Froyoo cookie with the appropriate ID.
For example, our matching partners will require us to position or recognize a cookie on your machine or device and our matching partners will share with us personal data such as your name, postal address or email address. Froyoo uses the personal data to link an ID to your browser or device's stored information.
Among the information we collect, and apart from the above mentioned, we could also collect the device's IP address and the type and version of the browser or operating systems. Over time, we use this information to recognize consumers across various channels and platforms to facilitate online advertising, analytics, attribution, fraud detection and reporting purposes.
Data Links, connections and Integrations
For cookie-based integrations, three sorts of connections are maintained: The first is the connection between Froyoo’s cookies and the marketing platform partner cookies, a sync that permits Froyoo to distribute advertising data to partners on behalf of our clients. In this case, the Froyoo cookies containing Froyoo IDs are synced with cookies set by our marketing platform partners. The second link lies between Froyoo cookies and the data providers from third parties. Throughout this scenario, data providers from third parties onboard their data, and Froyoo matches it to the relevant Froyoo IDs, linking the data to the right Froyoo cookie. Lastly, the third case is between data from a brand and the Froyoo cookie.
As advertisers add their data, Froyoo associates the data of the company with the Froyoo ID and thus links these data to the Froyoo cookies. When all of these links are developed, a marketer may use them to understand how advertisement or email marketing campaigns work and deliver advertisements or offline marketing to particular individuals when they visit a website with ad inventory. Froyoo cookies are set with a designated name and expire after 90 days from Froyoo 's network unless replaced or refreshed. Alternatively, Froyoo cookies are used to identify a person in order to deliver the appropriate advertising and email marketing to the intended recipient.
Mobile ID Services
Connectivity Services for mobile ID authentication are comparable to the authentication of cookies except that they use the device's mobile advertisement ID rather than a cookie–namely the Apple Advertisement ID (IDFA) and the Android Advertising ID (AAID). Froyoo connects marketing network partners, service providers from third parties and service from a brand to mobile devices through the Froyoo ID.
Unlike Cookies, Mobile advertising IDs do not expire. Instead, the user’s device allows them to change their Mobile Ad ID at any time, thereby breaking the link between the old ID and the device. Froyoo IDs are used to identify individuals in compliance with our online policy so that appropriate advertising and offline promotions can be distributed, and campaigns can be calculated.
Froyoo Addressable TV
Addressable TV access services are similar to internet and mobile networks in that they use the user ID issued to the set-top box by the operator, instead of a cookie or mobile ID. The Froyoo ID is connected with the user ID just as we would connect the cookie or mobile ID.
Through the Froyoo ID, Froyoo connects marketing network partners, third-party data providers and brand data to user IDs. In line with our online and mobile strategy, Froyoo IDs are only used to identify individuals so that specific ads can be distributed and campaigns can be calculated.
Privacy & Security
Froyoo can identify online, mobile or adressable TV users in two ways: Firstly, when our match partner shares personal details with us, or secondly when they share with us other information that is not used to classify individuals. We may identify an identifiable customer when they exchange personal data.Nevertheless, when we combine it with other anonymous info, we create a special Froyoo ID to protect user privacy.Froyoo is a privacy-oriented company and respects the protection of consumer privacy, developing its programs and facilities for the handling of personal data and other information which is not used with utmost caution to classify individuals. Froyoo selects the correct Froyoo ID, either personal data or de-identified, depending on the services that it has been requested to perform; it does not combine the two in any way that would compromise consumer security or preference.
Legal Basis of Processing
In terms of how we work with our partners and clients under GDPR, our processing of personal data will be legitimized as follows:
(i) Whenever we require consent for the processing of personal data such processing will be justified pursuant to Article 6(1) lit. (a) of GDPR. This article in the GDPR describes when processing can be done lawfully;
(ii) And where the processing is necessary for the purpose of Froyoo’s legitimate interest, such processing will be made in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1) lit. (f).
The data we retain are non-sensitive personal data and are not subject to retention provisions of any sector unique to the data. We keep data obtained for our data products as long as it is useful in our products, either as an individual variable or for other variables to draw from. It deletes personal data which are not used for any reason. If anyone objects to us processing their data, we must delete it from our data items, and then from our system in compliance with our data deletion period, unless there is a compelling reason for holding on to it such as settling conflicts or meeting our legal obligations.
Froyoo gives consumers the opportunity to opt-out of all our Connectivity Services through either a permanent email-based opt-out feature, our cookie-based opt-out or mobile device ID opt-out. An individual wishing to opt out can use our mobile services or contact us at email@example.com with their desired opt-out request. Users can also choose to easily Opt-Out using our website at https://www.froyoo.com.
Froyoo adheres to GDPR, CCPA and the DAA Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising and Multi-Site Data, as well as related guidance. Froyoo follows the DAA’s industry-wide cookie opt-out and its mobile device ID opt out. Keep in mind that opting out of Froyoo through our opt-out channels does not disable advertisements altogether. Instead, opting out means that Froyoo services will no longer be used to facilitate targeted advertising to your browser, device, or email address. In other words, you will still see advertisements and receive email marketing, but they will be less relevant to you.
If you create a new email address, reset the mobile advertising ID on your device, or use a new browser, you will need to apply the appropriate opt out to that new email address, new device ID, and/or new browser as opt-outs are not necessarily transferred between email addresses, browsers, or devices.
Opting-out of Froyoo connectivity services
Froyoo requires that our partners meet the same high standards we have. We contractually require that our match partners employ notice and choice mechanisms, and we work with other information service providers and our partners to assist them in following their respective industry standards.
Where business needs exist, Froyoo intends to transfer personal data to entities outside the US and EU. However, your personal data will not be transferred unless a valid transfer mechanism is in place legitimizing such a transfer. In the case referred to in Article 46,47, or the second paragraph of Article 49(1), this will typically involve EU model clauses or the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework.
